An Irish Pub
Black Bear Cafe is an authentic Irish Pub in the heart of the Lakes District
The ‘Bear’, located one mile east of the Naples Causeway, opened in May, 2004. Inside renovations were extensive and include an authentic tin ceiling. Added in 2008, the pizza kitchen, HDTV’s, a full bar, and an expanded wine list.
An authentic Irish pub in the heart of the Lakes Region. Created in the spirit of country pubs in southern Ireland, the owner, from Waterford, Ireland, assures that the tradition and ambiance of a true ‘public house’ is presented to each guest that visits ‘the Bear.” The staff are trained to pour a perfect pint, the food is superb, Fish ‘n Chips, and local favorites - steaks, salads, seafood, burgers, gourmet pizza and amazing desserts – vegetarian and gluten free options too.
Our kitchen talent is inspired by the best-local products, acquired from regional farmers and cheese-makers whenever possible. Many of these purveyors are our friends and neighbors so we are able to offer the freshest ingredients that travel a short distance, instead of a few hundred miles.
The entire Black Bear Family believes this:
“A customer is the most important visitor on our premises. He is not dependent on us. We are dependent on him. He is not an interruption in our work. He is the purpose of it. He is not an outsider in our business. He is part of it. We are not doing him a favor by serving him. He is doing us a favor by giving us an opportunity to do so." ~ Ghandi
We appreciate the opportunity to serve our customers, and strive to deliver a first-class experience in every particular.
